A Miller, SD man died in a two-vehicle crash this morning in Huron, SD.
The names of the persons involved have not been released pending notification of family members.
Preliminary crash information indicates the driver of a 2001 Buick LeSabre was traveling northbound on West Park Avenue and failed to yield at the stop sign and entered the intersection at US Highway 14. A semi traveling eastbound on Highway 14 collided with the Buick. The Buick came to rest in the northwest ditch and the semi came to rest in the eastbound lanes of US 14, closing the highway for approximately five hours.
The driver of the Buick sustained fatal injuries. The driver of the semi was not injured.
The South Dakota Highway Patrol is investigating the crash. All information released so far is only preliminary.
The Highway Patrol is an agency of the South Dakota Department of Public Safety.
