President Donald Trump posted to his Truth Social account Monday he has endorsed South Dakota senator Mike Rounds for re-reelection. In the post, the president called Rounds an incredibly strong advocate for the wonderful people of South Dakota. Senator Rounds on X thanked the president and accepted his endorsement. Rounds has not yet officially announced he will seek re-election to the US Senate. Meanwhile one Democrat, Sioux Falls business owner and former state trooper Julian Beaudion has announced his candidacy for US Senate and former Northern State professor and retired US Navy and Air Force member Brian Bengs has announced his candidacy as an independent.
