The South Dakota Democratic Party has announced Minnesota Governor Tim Walz will be featured as the keynote speaker at the annual McGovern Day dinner on July 12th in Sioux Falls. Walz was first elected as Governor of Minnesota in 2018 and won re-election in 2022. He was picked to serve as the vice presidential candidate to Kamala Harris in the 2024 presidential election, but lost that race to Donald Trump and JD Vance.
