Minnesota Twins hire Derek Shelton as manager

The Minnesota Twins have hired Derek Shelton to serve as the team’s next manager. Shelton is 55 years old and most recently managed the Pittsburgh Pirates from 2020 to 2025. Before t hat he also served on the coaching staffs of the Cleveland Guardians, Tampa Bay Rays, Toronto Blue Jays and the Minnesota Twins in 2018-19 as a bench coach.
