The Minnesota Twins have been selected to take on the Philadelphia Phillies in Dyersville Iowa at the refurbished Field of Dreams site. MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred made the announcement Wednesday. This will be the first game at the site since 2022 and will take place Thursday August 13th 2026. The event will be streamed on Netflix and is a central piece of the new partnership between the streaming company and Major League Baseball. In addition to the Major League Game, the site will also host a game between Triple A St. Paul and Iowa on August 11th. Field of Dreams is an American sports film classic from 1989 starring Kevin Costner.
