Selected by the Philadelphia Eagles in the first round (second overall) of the 2016 NFL Draft, Wentz originally joined the Vikings in August of 2025 following stints with the Philadelphia Eagles (2016-20), Indianapolis Colts (2021), Washington Commanders (2022), Los Angeles Rams (2023) and Kansas City Chiefs (2024). In his first season in Minnesota, he started all five games he appeared in, completing 110-of-169 pass attempts (65.1%) for 1,216 passing yards, six touchdowns and five interceptions, earning an 85.5 passer rating. In his career, the Bismark, N.D., native has started 99 of the 103 games he has played, completing 62.8% of his passes for 23,626 yards, 159 touchdowns and 72 interceptions.
