(KCCR – Pierre, SD) The name of a Pierre man killed in a North Dakota rollover crash has been released by the North Dakota Highway Patrol. The crash that took the life of 19 year-old Jaxon Jungwirth happened around 6:50 pm on 158th Avenue near Rhame in southwest North Dakota on Sunday evening. According to a release from the North Dakota Highway Patrol, Jungwirth was traveling south on 158th when the Toyota Tacoma he was driving left the road. Jungwirth attempted to make a corrections and rolled the truck into the east ditch. The road conditions were listed in the release as good at the time and the weather normal with some smoke. Jungwirth was not using a seat belt at the time of the crash. Rhame is 16 miles northwest of Bowman. In addition to the Patrol, also responding to the crash were the Bowman County Sheriff and Ambulance and Rhame County and Bowman Fire Departments. Jungwirth graduated from T-F Riggs High School in Pierre with the Class of 2025. He attended Lake Area Tech in Watertown for Business.
