A Redfield, South Dakota man died Wednesday in a single-vehicle crash versus train crash near Redfield.
Names of the those involved have not been released pending notification of family members.
Preliminary crash information indicates a BNSF train was traveling southbound on the train tracks. At the same time, the driver of a 2013 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited was traveling westbound on 174th Street. The Jeep struck the train as it entered the intersection. The driver sustained fatal injuries.
The investigation is ongoing. All information released is preliminary.
