Name released in Beadle county fatal accident

A Huron, South Dakota man died Wednesday from injuries sustained during a June 13 single-vehicle crash near Yale, South Dakota.

Preliminary crash information indicates Jimmy Lee Lloyd, the driver of a 1999 Ford F-350, was traveling northbound on 411th Avenue near 199th Street when he entered a ditch, causing his vehicle to roll.

Lloyd was taken to a Huron medical center before being transported to a Sioux Falls Hospital. He died from his injuries on Wednesday, July 1, 2026.

The investigation is ongoing. All information released is preliminary.

The Highway Patrol is an agency of the South Dakota Department of Public Safety.
