NBA Board of Governor’s approve sale of controlling interest in Minnesota Timberwolves/Lynx to Alex Rodriguez and Marc Lore

The NBA Board of Governors Tuesday unanimously approved the sale of the controlling interest in the Minnesota Timberwolves and Lynx to Marc Lore and Alex Rodriguez. The deal is expected to close this week at $1.5 billion. The move ends what has been a long process, which included twists and terns including outgoing owner Glenn Taylor attempting to cancel the sale, citing contract violations from Lore and Rodriguez. However, arbitration ruled in favor of Lore and Rodriguez. With this move the two men will serve as co-chairman of the Wolves, Lynx and the Iowa Wolves, the team’s G League affiliate.
