The deal is valued at $6.1 billion. Upon closing the deal Chisholm will take over with 51 percent majority ownership with full control coming by 2028 which could bring the value of the deal to $7.3 billion according to ESPN. It is the largest private ever paid for an American Professional sports team. It beaks the previous record of $6.05 billion paid for the NFL’s Washington Commanders in 2023.
