Northern State linebacker Jake Adams named NSIC defensive player of the week

Northern State linebacker Jake Adams has been named the NSIC defensive player of the week. He earned the honor for helping Northern to their first win of the season, defeating Wayne State 26-7 Saturday at home. He led the Wolves with 16 tackles, including six solo tackles and 10 assists. He also recorded a sack for a three yard loss and pulled in his firs interception since 2023. Northern’s next football game will be this weekend at home for Gypsy Days taking on Concordia St. Paul. Kick off will be at 2:30 p.m.
