Northern State wrestling coach Rocky resigns to take a position with the NSU foundation

Northern State head wrestling coach Rocky Burkett has resigned from his position to take a job with the Northern State foundation as a development officer. Burkett resigns as the fourth winngest coach in Norther wrestling history, including winning a NSIC conference championship in 2021 and being named the National Wrestling Coaches Association coach of the year. A search to find Burkett’s replacement is already underway according to Northern athletic director Nate Davis.
