Officer involved shooting in Sioux falls leaves to one person killed

(Kelo.com – Sioux Falls, SD) An officer was wounded and the suspect was killed in a shootout involving Sioux Falls police on the city’s east side last night.

Officers were checking on a person’s wellbeing in the 3200 block of East 20th when they began taking gunfire from someone in a garage.

The officer was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

The South Dakota Division of Criminal Investigation is handling the investigation.
