A Pierre man has been indicted on 11 counts, including five counts of first-degree rape involving the sexual exploitation of two people under the age of 13. According to court documents 33-year-old Jarrett High Bear was indicted Wednesday by a Hughes County Grand Jury. The crimes allegedly occurred between January of 2018 and March of 2026. Along with the five rape counts he also faces two counts fourth degree rape, three counts sexual contact with a child under the age of 16 and one additional count sexual contact with a child under the age of 16.
