South Dakota Attorney General Marty Jackley has announced a Pierre woman has pleaded guilty to grand theft after being charged with defrauding the South Dakota Medicaid program. According to AG Jackley 49-year-old Sharon Laraye Monson has pleaded guilty to the charges she faces. Monson allegedly stole money while an owner of At Home Nursing in Pierre where she was accused of stealing over $588,000 in federal and state funds between May of 2018 to January of 2024. She faces a maximum of 15 years in prison upon sentencing.
