Public meeting to be held Tuesday in Aberdeen regarding the legislatures Comprehensive Property Tax Task Force

The public is welcome to attend a meeting of the Comprehensive Property Tax Task Force at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday in Aberdeen. The legislative task force will meet at the Kessler’s Champions Club on Northern State’s campus. The group will also meet at 9:00 a.m. On Wednesday. Tuesday’s meeting is solely dedicated to public input. The group’s goal is to reduce property taxes for South Dakota homeowners. Those strategies include exploring government spending reductions, optional county level sales tax options and more.
