Republican state lawmaker Tom Pischke has withdrawn from the state senate race out of District 25 Tuesday according to the Secretary of State’s office. Pischke is currently facing charges, allegedly forging precinct committeeman or committeewoman statement forms which is a felony offense. He has pleaded not guilty. That leaves independent candidate Bryan J. Breitling as the lone candidate on the ballot for District 25 state senate. By law, the local Republican Party central committee can choose someone to fill the vacancy left by Pischke’s withdraw. The replacement must be filed with the Secretary of State’s office by 5:00 p.m. Tuesday August 11th.
