The South Dakota Department of Public Safety has announced sobriety checkpoints will be conducted in the month of July across the state. The checkpoints are conducted by the South Dakota Highway Patrol and are meant to deter driving under the influence. Counties with checkpoints this month include Beadle Charles Mix, Codington, Custer, Davison, Edmunds, Jones, Lawrence, Lincoln, Marshall, Meade, Minnehaha, Moody, Spink, Stanley, Union and Yankton.
