The South Dakota Transportation Commission approved a request from South Dakota Game Fish and Parks last week for $2.8 million for road work projects. The money will be used by GFP to rehabilitate and maintain a number of roads at places such as parks, recreation areas, public boat ramps and more. Game Fish and Parks reported last year, the state partnered with county and township entities to improve approximately 29 miles of collector roads as well as 26 miles of eligible roadways within state parks and one bridge replacement.
