A Sioux Falls man has pleaded guilty to first-degree manslaughter regarding the death of his wife. 56-year-old Jimmie Ledbetter pleaded guilty regarding the death of 44-year-old Angie Scholl. On Wednesday in a Lincoln county courtroom, Ledbetter admitted to strangling Scholl in her Sioux Falls home in late October, resulting in her death. In exchange for this plea, other charges including first-degree murder have been dropped. He faces the possibility of life in prison upon his sentencing which is scheduled for January 6th 2026.
