Sioux Falls native Marcus Phillips selected 33rd overall in MLB draft by Boston Red Sox

Sioux Falls native Marcus Phillips was selected by the Boston Red Sox in the first round of the 2025 MLB draft Sunday. The Tennessee Volunteer pitcher was selected by Boston with the 33rd overall pick. Phillips played high school baseball at Sioux Falls Roosevelt and helped Tennessee win the College World Series last year. He hast started 17 games so far this year for Tennessee.
