Sioux Falls woman charged with providing drugs that lead to an overdose of a DOC inmate

Charges have been filed against a Sioux Falls woman regarding an overdose death in the State Penitentiary on May 15^th. According to court documents 49-year-old Melibu Ross is facing distribution of a controlled substance resulting in death charges. 24 inmates have also been indicted regarding a fight within the prison on May 27^th. 14 inmates were injured in that fight. Ross is accused of providing meth which led to the overdose death of Jason Garreau. He was serving a sentence on attempted first degree murder charges out of Hughes County.
