The South Dakota department of Public Safety has announced sobriety checkpoints to be conducted across the state in April. Counties where checkpoints will take place include Beadle, Bennett, Codington, Davison, Hutchinson, Jerauld, Lawrence, Lincoln, Lyman, Meade, Minnehaha, Moody, Pennington, Roberts, Stanley and Yankton. The goal of these checkpoints is to deter driving under the influence and area conducted by the South Dakota Highway Patrol.
