Sobriety checkpoints planned across the state in October

Sobriety checkpoints have been announced across the state for the month of October. The purpose of these checkpoints are to deter driving under the influence and are conducted by the South Dakota Highway Patrol. Checkpoints will be in the following counties: Beadle, Brookings, Brown, Brule, Day, Charles Mix, Clay, Codington, Fall River, Jones, Lincoln, Meade Minnehaha, Pennington, Spink and Stanley.
