The South Dakota Highway Patrol has announced sobriety checkpoints will be conducted across the state in the month of June. The checkpoints are conducted by the South Dakota Highway Patrol and are a tool used to try and deter driving under the influence. Counties where checkpoints will take place in June include Beadle, Brookings, Brown, Codington, Davison, Day, Fall River, Hughes, Jones, Kingsbury, Lake, Lincoln, Lyman, Meade, Minnehaha, Pennington, and Yankton counties.
