South Shore South Dakota native and Watertown high school alum Spencer Waege has announced he is retiring from the game of football. Waege played four seasons at North Dakota State before going to the NFL. While at NDSU he recorded 42 tackles for loss and 20.5 sacks at defensive end. where he went undrafted and spent time on the practice squad with the San Francisco 49ers and Green Bay Packers.
