State Democratic party announces statewide candidates for constitutional offices

The South Dakota Democratic Party has announced candidates for constitutional statewide officers for the upcoming November midterm election. Candidates include Raeann Mettler of Spearfish who is running for commissioner of school and public lands. That job is currently held by Republican Brock Greenfield. Tom Cool of Sioux Falls is running for state auditor. That seat is currently held by Republican Ric Sattgast. Frank Kloucek of Scotland is running for a seat on the South Dakota Public Utilities Commission. Margaret Kuipers of Sioux Falls is running for state treasurer. That is currently held by Republican Josh Haeder. Finally Terrence Davis of Sioux Falls is seeking the secretary of State’s office. That seat is currently held by Republican Monae Johnson. The party did not nominate a candidate for Attorney General. Republicans will name their candidates at this month’s convention Jun 25^th through the 27^th in Rapid City.
