Three people suffered injuries in what lawn enforcement describes as an accidental discharge of a firearm in Butte county. According to the butte County sheriff’s office, the incident occurred Saturday at a rural address west of Newell. Officers arrived to fine three people who knew each other with injuries. They were transported to a Sturgis hospital. Law enforcement says the investigation leads them to believe the injuries were the result of an accidental discharge as one individual was pickup up the firearm during a gathering of friends. No charges were filed and those involved were not identified.
