A Todd County man is facing manslaughter charges after admitting to killing a man in the heat of passion. According to Keloland News, Michael Barrera pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter Thursday. For his guilty plea, several other charges were dismissed including second-degree murder. According to court documents, Barrera lost his temper and shot the victim identified as Baptiste Lambert in the should with a shotgun back in May. Lambert would pass away later at a hospital.
