Minnesota Vikings quarterback Carson Wentz has been placed on the injured reserve list Monday and will miss the rest of the season to undergo left shoulder surgery. According to the team Wentz suffered a dislocated shoulder against the Browns three weeks ago, which led to a torn labrum and should fracture. He played in two and a half games with that injury. Quarterback J.J. McCarthy is expected to return to the starting roll this week against the Detroit Lions after missing several weeks with a high ankle sprain.
