Washington Capitals star forward Alexander Ovechkin made history Sunday when he scored his 895 goal to break Wayne Gretzkys career goal mark of 894. He scored the goal on the power play with 12:34 left in the second period. Ovechkin broke the record that stood for 31 years in 1,426 career NHL games. Gretzky set the record in 1,487 career NHL games.
