A Wyoming man has been arrested following a standoff in Deadwood late Tuesday. According to the Lawrence County sheriff’s office, officers attempted to investigate a domestic violence incident when the suspect identified as 31-year-old Darryl Shrader of Newcastle Wyoming fled. Officers were forced to use spike strips to stop the suspect, who then got away on foot after his vehicle came to rest in a wooded area south of Lead. Police allege he then held up in another vehicle owned by Shrader in the parking lot of the Deadwood Mountain Grand. Officers approached and found Shrader held up inside the vehicle holding a gun. Shrader surrendered just before 5:00 p.m. Local time.
