Aberdeen Fire and Rescue responds to grass fire Thursday

Crews in Aberdeen worked to put out a grass fire which was reported Thursday afternoon. According Aberdeen Fire and Rescue, at approximately 2:00 p.m. Firefighters were on the scene of a grass fire in the field north of 4815 8^th ave northeast. Aberdeen rural and Groton fire and rescue responded to the fire. The fire had spread in multiple directions due to changing wind direction and speed. Crews managed to contain the fire within three acres and no structures were damaged. Crews were on the scene for approximately three hours.
