(Kelo.com – Sioux Falls, SD) A former Sioux Falls police officer faces a charge of second-degree criminal sexual misconduct with a seven-year old girl in Morrison County, Minnesota in events that took place about 20 years ago.
33-year old Andrew Jensen has been on unpaid administrative leave from the Sauk Rapids police department since February, but is not in custody.
The victim recently told her family what happened, and Jensen later reportedly admitted to the assaults.
The Sauk Rapids Herald reported that Jensen joined the Sauk Rapids department in 2004, saying he came from Sioux Falls.
Sioux Falls Police say they weren’t aware of any charges Jensen faces.
His next court appearance will take place next month.
