Aberdeen man faces additional charges after working at the Aberdeen State Driver Licensing Office

An Aberdeen man has been indicted on a combined 85 felony and misdemeanor counts as an employee of the Aberdeen State Driver Licensing Office. According to the South Dakota Attorney General’s office, 68-year-old Mark Rathbun was re-indicted on Wednesday January 7th, which supersedes a previous November indictment. According to AG Marty Jackley, the additional charges are a result of a continuing investigation into the allegations against Rathbun. Some of the charges include solicitation of second degree rape, dissemination of image or recording a victim 17 years of age or younger and unlawful use a computer system while he was an employee of the state driver’s licensing office. Rathbun is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
