Aberdeen Parks and Rec board confirms Matt Braun as new director

Aberdeen Parks and rec has confirmed Matt Braun to take over as the new Parks and Recreation and Forestry director. The Aberdeen Parks and Rec board confirmed the promotion at a special meeting this past Thursday. He will replace current Parks and Rec director Mark Hoven who is set to retire May 16^th. Braun will take over Hoven’s duties starting April 28^th. Braun is originally from Ipswich and has worked for parks and rec departments in cities including Fargo, N.D. And Rochester, Minn.
