Aberdeen to get its first “Dunkin'” location

Aberdeen is expected to get its first Dunkin’ Donuts location. According to Aberdeen Mayor Travis Schaunaman’s Facebook page, the popular coffee and doughnut chain, doing business now simply as Dunkin’, will have a location in the Aberdeen Walmart. No date for the business opening was given in the announcement. Dunkin’ Donuts was founded in Quincy Massachusetts in 1950 and currently has 14,000 locations in 39 countries making it one of the largest coffee and doughnut chains in the world.

In other business news the Caribou Coffee location, located at 2727 6th avenue southeast will be closing its doors effective February first. That is according to a sign posted on the coffee location’s drive through. The two other locations inside Kessler’s and across the street from Kessler’s next to BeMobile will remain open.
