The City of Aberdeen sent out letters this week about a turbidity spike at the water treatment plant in mid-February. A turbidity spike is a sudden increase in the cloudiness or haziness of water, caused by a surge of suspended particles.
When turbidity spikes, the city is legally obligated to inform residents. However, there was no water boil advisory and water quality was unaffected according to city officials.
