The Deuel County School in Clear Lake was placed in lock down status Monday due to concerns over an indirect threat. According to a post from the school’s Facebook page, the school was placed in lock down status as a precautionary measure due to an indirect threat of violence from a possible school shooter. The Deuel county sheriff’s office was brought in and launched an investigation. After the investigation it was determined the threats were not credible, but there was a continued police presence at the school for the rest of Monday.
