The South Dakota Department of Social Services announced Monday SNAP benefits have been fully restored in South Dakota. Approximately 37,000 households across the state will soon be getting their full federal-food assistance for November. DSS says approximately $8 million was dispersed in partial benefits last week following guidance from the US Department of Agriculture who administers the SNAP program. The SNAP program was in limbo to begin November due to the Federal Government shutdown which came to an end late last week.
