Roberts County Sheriff’s Office investigating dead body found near I-29

The Roberts County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a dead body found Monday morning. According to the department, the body was found around 8:00 a.m. Near the on-ramp of I-29 and South Dakota Highway 10 near Dakota Connection Casino. The initial investigation points to no foul play being suspected. Roberts County Sheriff Tyler Appel says the preliminary investigation points to exposure to the elements playing a significant factor in the man’s death and he appeared to be in need of medical attention. The identity of the deceased was not released, but law enforcement say they believe he is from Fargo.
