Today, Governor Kristi Noem ordered that flags be flown at half-staff at the State Capitol from sunrise until sunset on Thursday, May 23rd, 2024, in honor of former state legislator Janice Nicolay. She represented Minnehaha County in the South Dakota State House of Representatives from 1983-1996.
A graveside service for former state legislator Janice Nicolay will be held at 12 PM on Thursday May 23, 2024 at the South Dakota State Veterans Cemetery in Sioux Falls, SD, followed by a celebration of her life from 2-4 PM at The Outdoor Campus in Sioux Falls.
