The Aberdeen Area Humane Society reports the organization took in 37 cats in 24 hours. According to a post on the society’s Facebook page the cats came in as kittens, adults, some injured and some sick. The society sought the public’s help in providing for the cats with cat food, cat litter and more items in need. A day later the society posted an update thanking the community for donating a large number of cat items to help with the influx of cats. The Humane society encourages residents to spay and neuter your pets to help control the pet population.
