A McCall, Idaho woman died in a single motorcycle crash seven miles south of Keystone, SD Saturday evening.
The name of the person involved has not been released pending notification of family members.
Preliminary crash information indicates the driver of a 2015 Husqvarna motorcycle was traveling eastbound on US Highway 16A and began to pass a group of motorcycles. Entering a sharp curve, the rider lost control and became separated from her motorcycle, sliding off the road. She was wearing a helmet.
The rider was transported to a Rapid City hospital where she died from her injuries.
The South Dakota Highway Patrol is investigating the crash. All information released so far is only preliminary.
The Highway Patrol is an agency of the South Dakota Department of Public Safety.
