The Hansen-Anderson South Dakota Mr. and Miss Basketball awards have been announced. The awards are given annually to the players considered the best in the state. This year, Sioux Falls Christian’s Griffen Goodbary was named Mr. Basketball and Rapid City Christian’s Taaliyah Porter was named Miss. Basketball. Goodbary averaged 18 points, six rebounds and three assists leading Sioux Falls Christian to a Class A boys basketball state championship. Porter averaged 22 points, seven rebounds and two assists as a senior. She passed WNBA great and current WNBA head coach Becky Hammon as the program’s career scoring leader.
