It was selection Sunday as well as St. Patrick’s Day Sunday March 17th and with that in the books we now have the NCAA men and women’s national basketball championship tournament brackets. In men’s basketball Uconn was awarded the top overall seed. Other #1 seeds include North Carolina, Purdue and Houston. South Dakota State was awarded a #15 seed and will take on #2 seed Iowa State in the first round. The game will be played Thursday March 21st at 6:35 p.m. In Omaha Nebraska. In women’s basketball South Carolina was awarded the top overall seed. Other number one seeds include Texas, USC, and Iowa. South Dakota State was awarded a #12 seed and will take on #5 seed Utah in the first round. Tip off will be Saturday March 23rd at 9:00 p.m. Central time in Spokane Washington.
