South Dakota State pitcher Dylan Driessen was selected Monday in the 18th round of the MLB draft. Driessen was selected by the St. Louis Cardinals. The right-handed pitcher from Ombaha Nebraska made 61 appearances for the Jackrabbits in three seasons at SDSU from 2023 to 2025. All were relief appearances. He compiled a record of 10-11 with seven saves. He ranks third on the Jackrabbits career baseball records averaging 12.93 strike outs per nine innings.
