Summit man identified as fatal victim of a single vehicle accident near Ortley

The name has been released of Summit man who passed away in a single vehicle accident southeast of Ortley. According to the South Dakota Department of Public Safety Eliseo Gomez was southbound on 452^nd avenue near 147^th street when he lost control of his vehicle and partly entered the east ditch. Gomez then overcorrected, rolled and ended up the west ditch. He was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from the vehicle. Gomez was pronounced dead at the scene.
