Following that the Twins traded outfielder Harrison Bader to the Phillies in exchange for outfielder Hendry Mendez and Pitcher Geremy Villoria, pitcher Brock Stewart for outfielder James Outman, utility player Willie Castro to the Chicago Cubs for minor league pitcher Ryan Gallagher and Sam Armstrong, pitcher Danny Coulombe to the Texas Rangers for pitcher Garrett Horn, Pitcher Griffin Jax to the Tampa Bay Rays for Taj Bradley, pitcher Louis Varland and first baseman Ty France to the Toronto Blue Jays for outfielder Alan Roden and pitcher Kendry Rojas, and finally shortstop Carlos Correa to the Houston Astros for prospect Matt Mikulski. The Twins also agreed to cover $30 million of Correa’s remaining $104 million contract in the deal.
